This is the first session of PhD Plus 2022 Future Faculty series that will set the stage for the entire series for the participants on how to best leverage different workshops to put together a faculty application.
In this session, participants will
- understand the different kinds of higher education institutions and types of faculty roles;
- learn expectations on research, teaching, and service for a tenure-track role;
- make plans for your job search, including how to best utilize the Future Faculty module offered by PhD Plus.
The discussion will lead to a greater understanding of the higher education landscape; more clarity on approaching post-PhD academic life; and how to plan for your search if you are applying during the 2022-2023 academic year.
