PhD+ Entrepreneurship: Rockstars and Models

Cville Biohub, Indoor Biotechnologies, 700 Harris St.

Entrepreneurship seminars are a mix of case discussions, guest panels, and action-oriented workshops covering topics such as: founders agreements, incorporation, market analysis, product development, funding and deal terms, business models, investor presentations, etc

Rockstars and Models: Polyface and the Farm with Many Faces

This discussion we will focus on two topics: (1) the operational aspects of a company (e.g., key resources, processes, paths to market)—particularly as the variety of moving parts impact the broader Business Model—and (2) the questions of Why and How any company would and could grow. Our anchor for the discussion will be Polyface Farms, an organic ranch located just south of Staunton, Virginia.

After our session, we will join the CvilleBioHub for their monthly event, an opportunity to connect with the local biotech community.
