PhD+ AHSS Future Faculty Level 1: Research & Preparation for Faculty Careers

This is the first session of PhD Plus AHSS Future Faculty series that will set the stage for the entire series for the participants on how to best leverage different workshops to put together a faculty application.

In this session, participants will understand and discuss

• the different kinds of higher education institutions and types of faculty roles;
• career trajectories of AHSS PhDs;
• case study: recent hires in different disciplines.

The discussion will lead to a greater understanding of the higher education landscape; more clarity on approaching post-PhD academic life; recognize best practices among recent hires through case studies in the changing academic job market.
