As the Assistant Director of Experiential Learning, Dr. Mallory Neil will develop experiential learning process and programs for PhD Plus. She will collaborate with graduate students, university partners, and employers to diversify the types of opportunities that are available to foster student’s experiential professional development. She will also manage the PhD+ Internship program.
Prior to joining UVA, Mallory earned her PhD in History from the University of Houston. Most recently, she served as the Director of Career Development at Wesleyan College in Macon, GA, where she integrated career development into curricular requirements and oversaw the institution's experiential learning program. The combination of her academic training and professional experience fostered Mallory’s desire to expand career exploration opportunities for graduate students and postdoc scholars.
