In her role as Assistant Director of Professional Development in the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs, Dr. Yi Hao supports the Office and PhD Plus through program development, communications, data analysis, and evaluation. Yi works closely with university partners to meet the professional needs of graduate students and postdocs on Grounds. Prior to joining UVA, Yi received her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from William & Mary, focusing on graduate education and leadership development.
Yi is one of the instructors of PhD Plus Foundations series and a lead instructor of Arts Humanities & Social Sciences chapter of Future Faculty skills series. Yi also provides individual and group advising to PhD students and Postdocs in Arts Humanities & Social Sciences disciplines.
