Career Design

Introduction

PhD Plus Career Design helps students identify their core values and interests, explore diverse careers pathways and practice professional development strategies. This series is best suited for PhD students in year 2 and above, and Postdoctoral Scholars at all stages of training.

This series is typically offered every semester and is strongly recommended for participation in the PhD Plus Internship Program.

Career Design

This 5-week series is offered one or two times a year and is open to all graduate students and postdocs. 

 

GHSS 7050 - Professional Life After Graduate School (aka “Career Design for the Humanities”)

Earn 1 credit, or a non-credit credential in this semester long course for humanities and social science doctoral students (Syllabus).

Career Design for Postdocs

Spring series comprised of five weekly sessions. This is a great opportunity for junior postdocs to explore career pathways and network with fellow postdocs in other departments. Postdocs registered for the class will be expected to complete assignments prior to each session and attend at least 4 out of 5 sessions. In person attendance is highly encourage, virtual option accommodations can be made available on a case-by-case.
