PhD+ Research Communication: Handling Conference Q&A

New Cabell Hall, Room 236 (German Conference Room)

Ever find yourself in the “hot seat” at your conference and you are not sure how to handle the Q&A portion of your presentation? Many Q&A sessions are like a weather forecast: you know roughly what to expect but you don’t know what you’ll get on the day. But if it is well planned, the Q&A session can become the highlight for all attendees.

Join us for a practical session on handling questions and answers to build your confidence as an emerging researcher/scientist/scholar. All graduate students and postdocs are welcome. This 75-minute workshop assumes attendees have some conference attending/presenting experiences.

Instructors:

Marlit Hayslett: Director of Communication Training and Strategy, Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs (OGPA)

Jasmine Crenshaw, Ph.D.: Director of Diversity Programs (OGPA)
