PhD+ Foundations: Design Thinking 1

Campbell Hall 405, School of Architecture

Success of design-led companies such as Apple, Coca-Cola, IBM, Nike, among others have led to application of Design thinking approaches in strategy and innovation and workforce management across different sectors. Therefore, take a peek at how designers think creatively to solve complex problems in two consecutive sessions of Foundations series.

In these sessions, Faculty and Design thinking experts from School of Architecture will provide an overview of the methodology and how it can be applied to your research. Furthermore, you will use this understanding to solve a design challenge and learn about visualization tools to communicate your concept design. For a holistic experience, these sessions will be hosted in School of Architecture at Campbell Hall that includes a short tour of the design studios – the room where it happens.
