Learning and Teaching Listening

Monroe 100

Description: Listening is an incredibly important interpersonal skill rarely formally taught in classrooms but one with potential to increase trust, respect, and understanding between instructors and students. This workshop explores how we learn from listening, while at the same time sharing techniques for teaching listening to our students. In this workshop participants will reflect on the importance of listening and learn active ways to improve listening inside and outside of the classroom.
