Zoom, Link provided upon registration

This is the inaugural offering of the PhD+ Research Communication Series, Level 3. Our guest instructor for this series will Amy Aines, founder of Talking STEM and co-author of Championing Science. Amy’s approach offers fresh perspective and sheds light on complex communication interactions most of us struggle to navigate.

In this 3-part series, you will apply the foundational concepts you have learned in Level 1 and Level 2 to specific situations with a focus on tailoring your communication and interacting effectively. Topics include power dynamics, cultural norms, refining your message for your goals and audience, etc. in the context of situations that you will encounter in your career. Ideal participants for this series are PhD students and postdocs from all disciplines who have completed RCS L1 and 2, or CHEM7021, or STS5500.

Session dates: Oct 5, 12, and 19 from 12:00PM to 1:15PM via Zoom.
