Description: Today’s political moment presents new challenges and opportunities for GTAs to discuss societal inequalities. In this workshop, we will discuss different methods to address controversial topics with our undergraduates. This workshop will strategize ways that GTAs can turn difficult-to-discuss topics into teachable moments through course preparation, productive in-the-moment responses, and the consistent cultivation of an inclusive environment.
